Almost as impressive as Trevor Evans big whitetail buck, Travis Lyle shot this big Bull Elk in Alberta in 2007! Travis shot this bull on November, 25, 2007 in Northern Alberta. The bull is a 9×7. I don’t have the official score yet but what a great Elk!! Here are the pictures of Trevor’s giant whitetail again, I can’t get enough of looking at that brute!!

Jason Weninger shot this great 6×5 Whitetail this fall. The buck gross scores near 160″. Jason’s brother Curtis also shot a nice 4×4 that day. Pictured in the middle is Wayne Weninger, Jason and Curt’s dad. Here also is a picture of a big Mule Deer buck that Jason shot during the 2006 hunting season. All deer were taken in the Okanagan Region of British Columbia. Great bucks guys, thanks for the pictures!

Every November for the past 6 years I head out to Saskatchewan to hunt with some close friends. It is quite an exciting trip, there is always lots of game to see. There are plenty of moose, coyote’s, fox, mule deer, and whitetail deer. On average we will see 40-60 whitetail bucks per 5 day hunting trip. We all shoot decent bucks 110″-140″ class , but have not yet connected on a true Saskatchewan giant. This year while we were at the meat packers a hog of a whitetail, 180″ buck came in from the area we hunt, so I cannot wait to back again next year. I take lots of video and still pictures out there, so here are some harvested, and live animal pictures for you to enjoy. The first picture is Curtis Paproski. The second is a picture of the bucks that Curtis & Kevin Paproski, Sam & Robert Wagner, and Jessie Smith shot this year. The third is a picture of Calvin Davis, I got that hunt on video as well. The fourth and fifth are picture’s of the buck I shot. The sixth picture is an antler that I shot off the head of a buck on our second day, I never got that deer! The buck was running broadside at about 500 yards. For anyone from British Columbia who has not hunted on the prairies before you have to try it, it is completely different than around here, get used to running shots at deer!! Also included are some of the other wildlife that we saw while hunting this year.

Both of these bucks were taken with compound bows in late November, 2007. John Stegeman, the first picture, shot his buck at 56 yards. I posted an article of a nice 4×4 Mule Deer John killed with his compound bow in early September ,that article is in the September archives of this blog. Both of John’s bucks were taken near Rock Creek, British Columbia, great season with your bow John, thanks again for the pictures. The second picture is Dwayne Zarr from Castlegar, British Columbia. Dwayne shot this nice buck in the Castlegar area in late Novenber 2007. Great bow kills guys!!

Dale Lamb and Jason Moore shot these great bucks near Kelowna, British Columbia, during the 2007 rifle season. Dale Lamb is pictured with both bucks, but Jason Moore shot the heavier second buck. Dale’s buck was shot on Nov.10, 2007, and Jason’s buck was shot Oct.27, 2007. Great bucks you guys, thanks for the pictures!

Hi all, I am back from my hunting trip in Saskatchewan. I was very excited to find this email in my folder. I have lots of great stories from Sask., and lots of people have sent me their stories. I will be posting all the stories over the next few days, and I figured this was the best story to start with. Trevor Evans of Alberta took this absolutely amazing Whitetail buck this winter in Alberta. This could be the biggest typical buck ever taken in that province. The story will be featured in the upcoming Big Buck Magazine, and it should be officially scored by then. Enjoy the pictures!!!
