Record Moose!?
Possible Pope and Young record!
Darin Mack almost didn’t hunt Alaska with his son this fall. “Money
was a little tight,” says the 36-year-old technical advisor with
Lancaster
Archery in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. “But my wife and I talked it over and
decided it was now or maybe never.” They chose now, and on September
23rd,
with his son by his side, Mack arrowed what may be the new Pope and Young
world-record Alaska-Yukon moose.
We’ve spent a lot of time trying to tally up a rough green score,
and we’ve come up with 252 to 255, with a spread of 73 to 75 inches. But
those are just guesses for now.

Antler Outdoors, Nebraska, Nov. 2008!
Here is a clip from our Nebraska whitetail deer hunt in November of 2008. Shawn and I had a great hunt and on the 4th day of a 5 day hunt Shawn arrowed this great 4×4 Whitetail. It is a little hard on the small screen to see the kill shot, but in hi-def on a TV it turns out great, can’t wait for this show to air!

Here are a few of the mounts that I have done, you can pick which ones you would like to blog if any. That big non-typical buck was shot by my dad. At the break of dawn my dad let my brother out of the truck and proceeded to go around the cut block with the pickup. As they were driving around the block they heard gun shots from the direction where they let my brother out. My uncle Jim was in the truck with my dad and told dad to stop the truck. They both started running up the hill to where they could see what was going on. My dad got part ways up the hill and noticed the truck doors were open and it was snowing quit heavily. My uncle Jim shot himself a nice 6×4 the weekend before so as he got to the top of the hill this majestic monster was standing 150 yards away with 7 does he turned to dad who was still 50 yards from the hill top. As dad got to the top of the hill Jim was saying just shoot Bob, by this time the deer was 200 yds and bounding away. Dad just layed down on the crest of the hill and hammered him in the back of the neck. All Jim could say after was nice shot Bobby nice shot Bobby. As they walked up to this buck Bradley my brother walked out of the bush yelling did i hit him? With closer inspection out of the 5 shots my brother made and the one shot my dad made there was only one bullet hole, hehehe can you say BUCK FEVER! The full sneak mule deer is also my dads along with the 3 point whitetail. If any one would like taxidermy work done you can reach me at (250)574-4015, my shop is located in Westwold B.C
