Okanagan Mule Deer Buck!
Hi all! After passing up a few 4 point mule deer in the past weeks, I finally connected on a good buck. I shot this buck the morning of November 8, 2007 at about 9:00 am. I had hiked to the top of a mountain near Kelowna BC, and within an hour found myself a long way from the main road. The country was just way to nice, and there was so much sign, rubs and tracks, I had to keep walking. Shortly before shooting this buck I said to myself, what would I do if I shot one way up here, and then there he was, I had to shoot! I dragged the deer for a couple of hours and then gave up and headed back to town to grab a couple hunting buddies, Calvin Davis and Robert Wagner, thanks for the help boys! We got the deer to my Polaris Ranger just after dark! Even though it was a long drag, this was a great hunt!
